Faith Prince and Jason Graae join forces for an evening of music and hilarity. Prince is the Tony Award winning star of Broadway's GUYS & DOLLS and THE LITTLE MERMAID and TV's MODERN FAMILY and Graae is an LA Critics Circle Award winner and star of WICKED, RAGTIME and SCROOGE IN LOVE, for which he won a Theatre Bay Area Award for Best Actor. Longtime friends since college, their cabaret show PRINCE AND THE SHOWBOY won a Nightlife Award for Outstanding Musical Comedy Performance.
Faith Prince has been dazzling Broadway audiences since winning the Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as “Ms. Adelaide” in GUYS AND DOLLS. As one of Broadway’s best loved leading ladies, Faith most recently starred on Broadway in DISASTER! THE MUSICAL for which she received rave reviews. In a role she was born to play, she also starred as the scheming, irascible “Miss Hannigan” in the Broadway revival of ANNIE. In 2008, she was nominated for Tony, Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for A CATERED AFFAIR. Other Broadway credits include THE LITTLE MERMAID, BELLS ARE RINGING (Tony, DD, OCC noms), NICK & NORA (OCC Award), JEROME ROBBINS' BROADWAY (Tony, DD noms), LITTLE ME, and NOISES OFF. She also starred in the world premiere of Terrence McNally’s UNUSUAL ACTS OF DEVOTION and in the national tour of the Broadway hit BILLY ELLIOTT.
Faith currently recurs on the ABC hit series MODERN FAMILY. She also recurred as Joey Lawrence’s mother on ABC Family’s long running series MELISSA & JOEY and wrapped her 5-season run as Brooke Elliott’s mother on Lifetime’s popular series DROP DEAD DIVA. She was a series regular on Showtime’s HUFF starring as “Kelly Knippers,” the love interest of Oliver Platt, and recurred for five seasons on SPIN CITY. Other television credits include SCREAM QUEENS, UGLY BETTY, GREY'S ANATOMY, CSI, HOUSE, MONK, and LAW AND ORDER. Film credits include OUR VERY OWN, PICTURE PERFECT, DAVE, and MY FATHER THE HERO.
Faith recently travelled to Australia for a concert tour with her ANNIE co-star Anthony Warlow, which included performances at the Sydney Opera House and the Adelaide Music Festival. She works often with the Boston Pops, Utah Symphony, Cincinnati Pops, and Philly Pops, and starred in the Orlando Philharmonic’s concert version of SWEENEY TODD. Faith toured her original show MOVING ON in Australia to rave reviews. Faith’s new album, Total Faith, was recorded at the Royal Room in the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach and was recently released by Broadway Records. Her award-winning album, A Leap of Faith, was recorded at Joe’s Pub.
Jason Graae is currently touring across America playing the Wonderful Wizard of Oz in the National Tour of the smash musical WICKED (playing in San Jose Aug 14 - Sept 8, 2019). On Broadway, Jason has starred in such shows as A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING, "FALSETTOS, STARDUST SNOOPY!, DO BLACK PATENT LEATHER SHOES REALLY REFLECT UP?. Off- Broadway shows include FOREVER PLAID, OLYMPUS ON MY MIND (with Faith Prince), HELLO MUDDUH, HELLO FADDUH (Drama Desk Nomination- Best Actor in a Musical) and many more.
In Los Angeles, Jason won the L.A. Drama Critics Circle Award - the Joel Hirschorn Award for Outstanding Achievement in Musical Theatre. Jason originated the role of "Houdini" in the L.A. production of RAGTIME at the Shubert Theatre and won an Ovation Award for FORBIDDEN BROADWAY Y2KLA!. At the Hollywood Bowl, he played Benny Southstreet in GUYS AND DOLLS and Marcellus in THE MUSIC MAN. With the 42nd Street Moon Theatre Co. in San Francisco, he played the 7 Sid Caesar roles in LITTLE ME and most recently played Scrooge in the world premiere of SCROOGE IN LOVE, winning the Theatre Bay Area Award for Best Actor in a Musical. You won't want to miss Jason when he reprises his award-winning role in SCROOGE IN LOVE when it returns to 42nd Street Moon in December 2019.
On television, Jason has appeared on many shows including SIX FEET UNDER, FRIENDS, FRASIER, LIVING SINGLE, THE ELLEN DEGENERESS SHOW and more. On PBS, he was a guest soloist twice with the Boston Pops and once with Marvin Hamlisch and the National Symphony on "Holiday for the Troops at The Kennedy Center" and in "Words and Music by Jerry Herman". He has been heard on many cartoons and for over 5 years Jason was the voice of "Lucky the Leprechaun" for Lucky Charms Cereal, a balanced part of your complete breakfast.
Jason Graae has also appeared with some of the best opera companies in the US, including San Francisco Opera (DIE FLEDERMAUS), Los Angeles Opera (in THE GRAND DUCHESS, directed by film/TV legend Garry Marshall), Dallas , New Orleans, Washington National, Houston Grand Opera, and Michigan Opera Theatre (Oscar Wilde Award nomination).
Jason has recorded over 45 CDs, including original cast albums, concerts, compilations, and his 3 solo CDs, "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile - Jason Graae Sings Charles Strouse", "Jason Graae LIVE at The Cinegrill", and "Perfect Hermany-the songs of Jerry Herman.
